We're looking for a new colleague to join ZF Aftermarket at our location in Kunshan, Jiangsu. Your tasks: * Create innovative solutions for packaging designs and processes that meet or exceed global sustainability legislation. * Oversee and manage complete packaging development process, including the creation of packaging designs, prototype development, and performance testing. * Creates and maintains packaging parts and BOM related. * Maintain and update packaging specification database. * Troubleshoot new and existing packaging problems involving designs, materials and processes and provide creative, timely, and cost-effective solutions. * Analyze engineering drawings and specifications of product to determine physical characteristics of item, special handling, environmental and safety requirements, and types of materials required for packaging. * Works with sourcing teams to evaluate and select packaging suppliers/vendors; periodically conduct vendor reviews. * Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Work closely with global suppliers, engineering, product management, operations, and sourcing. * Participate in cross-functional teams, to deliver new products to market. * Identify and implement cost saving initiatives related to packaging materials, labor, efficiency, transportation, and storage. * Work with cross-functional teams to optimize packaging supply base for cost, quality, regionalization, standardization and compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements. * Work with the manufacturing organization to ensure that the packaging designs are optimized for manufacturability. * Conducts testing to ensure that packaging meets internal as well as external specifications. Your profile: * Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or equivalent. * 5 years’ experience working in manufacturing, automotive industry. * Proficient in PC Software knowledge (Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentation). * Good abilities of managing databases (ERP). * Advanced English, other languages like German would be better. * Good problem-solving skills, able to identity improvement opportunities. * Very good negotiation, organizational and communication skills. * Teamwork orientation; responsibility and professionalism in fulfilling tasks. * Good time and resources management. * An interest in “Sustainability in Packaging”. * Base on new KS operations center.
