Designs and integrates quality requirements, processes, and practices into the development, design, manufacturing of a product or solution. ? Analyzes and reviews portions of new product and solution designs and specifications for potential quality issues. ? Provides tangible feedback and proposes changes to improve product quality and minimize risk of failures. ? Solves difficult and complex problems with a fresh perspective, performs root-cause analysis, develops recommendations or demonstrates good judgment in selecting creative solutions and managing projects independently. ? Assists in the gathering of data and information and supports the tracking and reporting of these data points against various quality related performance metrics. ? Reviews reports, test data, and process results for assigned components and subsystems to identify trends and issues. ? Conducts meetings and communicates product and process issue analysis and propose recommendations to product stakeholders. ? Collaborates with management, internal, and outsourced manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product or process to reduce defects and improve quality and lower costs. ? Represents the quality engineering team for all phases of larger and more- complex development and manufacturing projects. ? Provides mentoring and guidance to less-experienced staff members to set an example of quality engineering design and development, innovation, and excellence. Education
